Teaser: There was dust forming on the horizon. The Freedom Fighters had been able to see it since dawn—a billowing mass of dirt, grass, and rocks kicked high into the air by the movement of a large and unnatural force across the land. The unease it spread through the Knothole camp raced like wildfire, devouring every shred of emotional kindling it could find. And as Sally Acorn, leader of the Freedom Fighters, stood looking out over the horizon, she could feel it working its way through herself as well.
