"So, Wind, what should I list your status as? 'Recovering deceased' or 'undead'?"
"Whichever you chose."
"I would prefer an explanation."
His mouth twitched in a split-second expression of irony. "I already told everyone the reason I am here, Une."
"Lady, Une or rather, Preventer Earth, if you are going to be that way." A touch of her old stern manner surfaced.
He chuckled. "Very well, Preventer Earth."
She frowned in consternation. "It will have to go on record eventually. We were operating above and beyond all others before, but you know some official somewhere will comes looking for validation of our agents."
"Until then, I won't worry about it."
"You must be alive. Even the dead aren't this stubborn. Speaking of stubborn, have you talked with Noin recently?" Something flickered across his face for a second. She smiled. "No? I think you'll find her in the lounge. You are free to leave if you wish. But we'll have to chat again soon."
He bowed and she noticed he turned rather quickly, although his pace appeared even.
