The stars really were beautiful tonight.

Rin noticed this as she walked with Kakashi on one side of her, and sensei on the other.

She chanced a glance over at Kakashi, eye currently covered so he won’t get over exhausted due to the Sharigan eye being perpetually on. Kakashi was looking at the ground, not wanting to look at Rin or sensei.

Sensei was looking the other way, away from both Rin and Kakashi. Sensei was lost in thought, and Rin knew that sensei was dreading the talk he was going to have with the Uchiha Clan as to why Obito was dead, and why Kakashi currently had a Sharigan.

Obito…, Rin thought to herself, you left us in quite a pickle. But I forgive you. I know that you aren’t here right now, but if you were, you would walk right behind us, lagging as usual, looking at the stars.

The stars really were beautiful tonight.
