Title: It's Not Fair, Is It?

Maria DeLuca has had enough of all the alien business. She doesn't want to deal with all the drama, and all the ups and downs of her's and Michael's relationship. She has a dream of her own to follow and aliens certainly aren't included in that dream. That's why it's easy for her to get in her car and decide to leave this miserable town and all its burdens behind. This town is obviously not giving her what she wants, so she has to find it somewhere else. Alone. Without any reminders or ties that bind her to Roswell, New Mexico. She has to start anew.

It's surprisingly easy for her to drive through the desert and never turn her back. It's surprisingly too easy for her to not have any doubts about what's she doing or where she's going. It's surprisingly too easy for her to make this decision that it surprises her. 

And then she realizes that it's surprisingly too easy because it is easy for her to just pack up and leave. It's easy to quit. But then again, it's easy to hurt as well.
