"Hey," Doku said, displaying the photos. "Seen these people?"
"What if we have?" the innkeeper snapped.
Doku smiled. "They're on the run."
"What did they do?" gasped the barmaid.
"The blond started off in a monastery. Got himself thrown out for drinking. He's their leader. Fakes being a Sanzou. The redhead cheats at cards."
"I knew it!" snarled a drunk.
"The one with the eyepiece is wanted for fraud. And the kid, well --"
The locals began providing him with details of the Sanzou-ikkou's movements, and he reflected again on what a good plan this one of Kou's had been.
