Day/Theme: February 16 / the (wo)man who walks like a beast
Series: Kingdom Hearts
Character/Pairing: Riku, implied Riku-->Sora
Rating: G
Spoiler Warnings: Major spoilers for KH2.
It takes a long time for him to adjust to Ansem’s body. His new hands are big; they’re rough in all the wrong places and wrap around the hilt of his Keyblade uncomfortably. His added height causes him to stumble when he walks, and it makes it all the more difficult for him because he’s trying not to call attention to himself.
But he gets better at it. He learns to talk like someone he’s not, someone he never wanted to be. He learns how to trick those he was once allied with, to hold onto the darkness and use it to beat someone he’d lost to before. He learns how to hold things, bodies, the form of someone like his someone that he carries back to DiZ without a single misstep.
He learns how to be Ansem.
(And he walks the paths of the worlds and drops clues and hints and secrets for his somebody.)
But he keeps the black cloth wrapped around his eyes and reminds himself that he cannot ever learn how to become Ansem.
