[February 13] [Kingdom Hearts] Faith and Trust and Peace
Title: Faith and Trust and Peace
Day/Theme: February 13 / ragnarök / the end of days

Character/Pairing: Sora, Donald, Goofy

Author’s Note: Slight spoilers for KH1. Takes places in Final Rest in End of the World.
They set up camp for the night in this little nook they find where Sora hears a voice. There’s a door there; they’ll head through it tomorrow, once they’re well-rested and ready.
Sora’s ready to go through it now, but Donald squawks indignantly at him and demands that he eat something before he goes to bed.
“D’ya figure the king’ll be behind the door?” Goofy asks, ears flopping, his hat about to slip off his head.
“Yeah. And Riku’ll be there too.” Sora glances off to the side into a puddle of water, tinted green from the strange light that fills the room. He’s surprised at how sad his face looks, and he turns away to stare back at the food he holds.
“Aw, don’t look so glum there!” Donald jumps up and puts his wings on a duck’s equivalent of hips. “Remember? If you want to fight with our team you’ve gotta have a happy face! No frowning. Yeah?”
Sora looks up, and there they both are, grinning and making expectant noises and being there.
He laughs, smiles.
“You sure we can’t go now?”
“We should probably rest first,” Goofy says. “But tomorrow we’ll definitely go.”
“Is that a promise?”
Goofy and Donald nod simultaneously.
“Promise!”
It’s enough to make them all go to sleep smiling.
