"And then the wise and powerful enchanter raised his wand," the Master said, "and shut himself up in a magic box. And outside the box, all the evil monsters and the Lords of Time fighting the war killed each other until only one man was left alive. And then the enchanter came out of his box."
All the little children gazed up at him in wide-eyed fascination.
"But what happened to the one man who was left?" the boldest asked.
"He was an old friend of the enchanter's," the Master said. "No doubt they had a great deal to discuss."
