[February 9] [Bleach] Girls Get Bored and Run
Title: Girls Get Bored and Run
Day/Theme: February 9 / the wandering wife
Series: Bleach
Character/Pairing: Yoruichi, Urahara, mentions of Soi Fong
Rating: G
It’d been an interesting experience, running away with Kisuke and shunning everything she’d ever known. There’d been Soi Fong to deal with (the girl was strong; she’d forget her eventually), as well as her position in the Secret Corps, but she could always come back.
And come back she did. She spent select weekends at Kuukaku’s admiring the latest firework technology. She kept her transfiguration abilities up to date; children in Rukongai liked to pet her and feed her any crumbs they could steal. She slinked about the lower-level officers of the second squad, who gossiped about how one of their number was contending for captainship.
She came back to Soul Society often.
It didn’t mean she stayed there.
-
Kisuke was her most frequent company. As she meandered, he stayed still, content to be selling his wares to whichever Shinigami needed them. Talking was what they did best; they spoke to each other, of milk and business and Seireitei and how Kurosaki-taichou’s boy was growing up fast. It was always engaging, and she trusted him with everything within her.
But Yoruichi can’t be held inside four wooden walls, can’t be restrained by two arms and a dish of milk.
She came back to the shop often.
It didn’t mean she stayed there.
