"Is that any way to greet your own mother!?" Hild cried over the phone.

"Yes," Urd said.

"You NEVER CALL!!" Hild wailed.

"Yes," Urd said again, "for good reason."

"How can my little girl can be so cold and cruel!?" Hild said. "How can a loving goddess also be such a wicked daughter!? I'm— I'm— I'm SO PROUD OF YOU!!"

"Look!" Urd said impatiently. "Are you calling in a specific threat against Yggdrasil, or are you just trying to hurt my brain with back-handed compliments!?"
