Azula's words are as shining as gems, polished and sparkling, and with an edge that can cut through glass or metal or the harder coverings of the heart. She shines in her father's court.
Zuko's words are as harsh as lizards or serpents, seasoned with fiery venom and harsh teeth, bitter as sand. He is a loathly thing, exiled and despised.
Fire Lord Ozai scorns his son, but at least he knows that the boy is stupidly, doggedly, hopelessly faithful. He will not attempt treachery. He will never plot treason and regicide.
Ozai has no such certainty about his daughter.
