Aizen looks around benignly at his Espada, and for a moment a thought tickles the back of his mind.
If he and Gin had chosen to twist Kira and Abarai and little Momo to this purpose rather than to puppethood and as tools, how might it have turned out? Would they have been standing here as well, eyes bright with a lust for conquest?
It could have happened. He could have found a way.
But it is a waste of time to ponder seeds that have been blighted, were warped, or ran wild; nothing can take back time.
