[Jan 29] [Transformers: Beast Wars] Sparkstrain Part One
Title: Sparkstrain Part One
Day/Theme: Jan 29 / I'll make you honest
Series: Transformers: Beast Wars
Characters/Pairing: BlackarachniaxSilverbolt
Rating: PG
"I'm not discussing this with you again, Bowser-boy."
"Blackarachnia, please." Silverbolt reached for her shoulder as she turned away. "You need to think things over. Megatron won't give you a moment's peace knowing what you've been up to." He raised his hands defensively as she whipped around and glared at him. "I know you can fend for yourself. I am merely saying you...might...want to consider taking a safer route, if just...to..." He wilted under her continued glare. "Please, beloved...I worry about you." He placed one hand on his chest, extending his other arm toward her.
She relaxed her glare into indifference, shrugging. "Touching, but spare me. I'm not going to concern myself with Mega-breath and his merry band of idiots when I have better things to do."
"If you mean your own personal projects, it is a simple matter to transfer the equipment and data to the Maximal base--"
"Spider webs are better woven where they won't be constantly disrupted." She put her claws on her hips and waited for his next attempt to reason with her.
Silverbolt averted his gaze to the ground. "I suppose I understand. One can never truly have peace there with such riffraff as Rattrap around, either. But even he does not pose as much danger to you as the wickedness Tarantulus perpetuates, nor the scheming of Megatron himself. He will try to ensnare you in some trick to oust your betrayal of his side."
She sighed in exasperation. "Tone down the vocabulary, I get your point. Still, it isn't that big of a deal. It's the same as it ever was dealing with them."
Silverbolt took a chance and clasped her claws in his hands. "But why even have it to worry about?"
She chuckled. "You're the only one who's worried."
"You should be."
"Silverbolt!"
He backed up, ears drooping. "I..apologize."
"I know you mean well but I have to do things my way, understand?"
He hesitated, looking at the ground again, trying to think clearly on the matter instead of letting his protective impulse affect his next response. His ears perked back up. "But...if the opportunity was to your advantage, you would leave there?"
Blackarachnia tapped a claw to her chin. "Depending on resource allocation...Yeah, I'd think about it."
Silverbolt smiled. That was good enough for him.
