During class, Haruhi reached across her desk and poked Kyon's shoulder. "Kyon!!" she whispered. "Why don't we—"

"NO!!" Kyon said.

Haruhi looked up from her computer, and shouted across the SOS Brigade club-room to Kyon. "Kyon!! Why don't we—"

"NO!!" Kyon said.

As Kyon and Haruhi walked home from school together, Haruhi suddenly pulled Kyon to a halt. "Kyon!! Why don't we—"

"NO!!" Kyon said.

Kyon and Haruhi had graduated from high school. After the ceremonies ended, Kyon met with Haruhi in a quiet corner.

"Kyon?" said Haruhi, her heart pounding. "Why don't we—"

"NO!!" Kyon said, just before he kissed her.

Kyon and Haruhi had married. After their reception party, they took a taxi to the airport, to leave for their honeymoon.

As they rode in the taxi, Haruhi rested her head on Kyon's shoulder. "Kyon?" she said softly. "Why don't we—"

"NO!!" Kyon said, just before he kissed her again.

After a long happy life together, an aged Kyon and Haruhi had retired to a senior citizens' community.

Haruhi found Kyon slumped in his chair. "Kyon?" Haruhi shook his shoulder. "Kyon!? KYON!!"

Kyon woke up. He scowled, and turned on his hearing aid. "WHAT!?"

"Why don't we—"

"NO!!"
