When she was draped in moonlight it was harder to not-pretend. He could almost swear that those were stars he saw on her eyelashes. Delight flows from her as naturally as waters of the river as she watches the faeries dance.

Compelled by the light in her, he takes her dancing upon the air. His heart is overflowing. When she smiles with the stars in her eyes it's harder to not-pretend. All this is pretend, isn't it, he asks himself as he takes her very real hands into his. All this is just a game, as he holds her very real form close. The lines in his mind become blurry. The lines become altogether unimportant.

She was air, and stars. She was what was important. She was what was.

They were, at the moment, everything. And he was, at the moment, not pretending at all.
