Every night Kon reminds himself that this isn't real. These aren't his sisters. This isn't his father. They'd reject him if they knew what he really was.
But what is he, really? Body shapes perception. At first she and Kurosaki treated him like a real person. Now they handle him like a stuffed toy.
Handled him. Past tense. They're both gone. It's just him. Him and Kurosaki's body.
Of course he doesn't want Kurosaki to die.
He doesn't want anyone to die.
The evenings are the hardest; the family supper, the long hours before sleep, and the knowledge of possibility.
