A yawning Urd stumbled into Skuld Labs. "What on Earth is that awful music?" Urd asked. "It kept me up all night."

"Disco backwards," Skuld said. "I figured, if disco makes Mara dance uncontrollably, disco backwards would paralyze her. And it worked."

Skuld pointed at Mara, who was helplessly frozen in an undignified pose in the corner of the room. "Good job," a giggling Urd said.

"But if you want to stay up all night," Skuld said, "I'll play Austrian polkas backwards instead."

"Huh," Urd said. "We'll have to try that, the next time I need to pull an 'all-nighter'."
