In his mind, he is already king. In fact, he is more than king, he will be emperor. In all the land, he is the only one suited for the position
The brand of slavery burnt, scarred, on his back means nothing. He finds it ironic and rather comical. If his father had not made such a decision, perhaps the blood in his veins would not sing for revenge, for victory, for power. He would call it destiny, but he does not believe in prophecies.
The future is for him to make and he will take his fate into his own hands. And at the very end, he will be the ultimate victor. He will be king and more.
Yes, he will be.
Or so he thought, until he met Tatara (no, Sarasa) and the world fell apart beneath his feet.
