A conversation of extreme importance was going on in one of the Academy orchards.
"So you toss it in the air," Renji said thoughtfully.
Momo and Kira nodded.
"And then you bring the sword round and cut it into as many bits as you can."
Momo clasped her hands together. "And when he did it, he sliced it into eight bits, and sheathed both his swords, and caught the slices in one hand and offered them to Ukitake-taichou!"
"It was so skilful!" Kira agreed.
"Right." Renji looked at the fruit-filled trees. "I figure we should have the knack by suppertime."
