Queen Lymsleia Falenas did not lack for suitors. There was the flamboyant Euram Barrows (although his excited obsession had lessened somewhat), the young Queen's Knight Toma, a rather persistent Harmonian ambassador, and countless others (obviously including Gavaya). The pretty young queen's love life and marriage prospects were a constant source of gossip for nosy women throughout the queendom.

Lymsleia remained forever attached to her older brother, and some wondered what that might say about her prospects... However, it was not long until the current commander of the Queen's Knights married Lyon, a fellow Queen's Knight who had guarded and supported the prince during the civil war. They were a brave and charming couple who to all outward appearances seemed absolutely devoted to putting their queen and country above all things.

Ever since the struggle for succession the royal family had been rather diminished in size, leading some to wonder about the future of the beloved monarchy. However, the Lady Haswar had married after the civil war and Lyon had only very recently given birth to a daughter with dark brown hair and blue eyes- the heir apparent until Lymsleia married and produced children of her own. Princess Faline, as the baby was called, was a bubbly, curious toddler, loved by the entire royal family. Her mother watched over her vigilantly, determined that her daughter would have the happiest childhood possible.

Hopeful suitors of the wise, young queen made a point of playing with Faline and tried to make the best possible impression on the tiny girl's parents. They knew whose opinion would be influencing Queen Lymsleia.

Of course, none of them counted on the bizarre and frustrating barrier they faced in the queen's companion and guardian Miakis...
