Moonlight in the red light district is not a contradiction in terms; the snowlight reflects calmly from the rooftops and gives no opinion on the gaudier lamps and the commotion below.
Ryuuki pauses to glance out of the window and to reflect on how much physically closer he was to Shuurei last year; a shared bed, a shared kiss.
These days, he saw far less of her. In another year's time, if she passed the examinations, she would be even further away with her new duties.
People didn't stop moving. Perhaps her path would lead her back to him again.
