It was rather startling to walk into the bathroom and see Phillee seated in a shower stall, her ear almost against the wall. "Did you know," she asked Alri, "that the acoustics in here let you hear into the other bathrooms."
"I've never heard anything." There was the sound of water running, but that was it.
"Maybe it's a hearing thing -- I'll ask around. But someone ought to tell the human scholar fellow that he has a very nice singing voice." She stood up, humming something that Alri half-recognized as an old human hymn.
