[4 October 2006] [Escaflowne] Fic Title
Title: Letters to Earth
Theme: 'wherever this may find you' (
31_days, Oct. 4)
Series: Vision of Escaflowne
Character: Van Fanel; Van/Hitomi bias
Rating: G
Dear Hitomi,
Today was the anniversary of the defeat of Zaibach. The entire town was done up for a festival -- Fanelia's finally starting to look like it's alive and healthy again. I didn't see any of those Mystic Moon disc-things you bought in Asturia, but Merle bought some jewelry. She's growing up a lot -- you'd hardly recognize her.
Millerna wrote to me last week. Mostly boring political stuff, but she mentioned Allen. He's doing well -- thought you'd like to know that.
I managed to visit Escaflowne and left some incense for Folken. I don't know if he'd think it was silly or not. I don't know a lot of things -- I wish I had known him better before he died.
Hope things on the Mystic Moon are good.
-- Van
Van put down his pen and added the letter to the pile buried in his desk drawer. It wasn't like he could find a messenger to deliver an interplanetary letter, but he still thought Hitomi would like to know what was going on, even if he couldn't explain why. Some things needed to be done.
