[october 2] [spiral] fireworks

title; Fireworks
day/theme; October 2 / hello darkness my old friend
series; Spiral
character; Kanone Hillbert
rating; PG, I guess?

Takes place around the last couple episodes of the anime, so...spoilerish probably.

Blade Children were born in darkness, Blade Children will die in darkness - there is no light, no hope, and no salvation. It's the story they've heard all their lives, the one that no hunter can resist telling them yet another time.

Kanone accepted it easily, and it doesn't really trouble him much.

It's a bit annoying, he thinks, the way the others seem to indulge in the hope, no matter how cynically they approach it. And the more chances they give Narumi Ayumu - the more times he comes from behind and lives despite everything that's been thrown at him - the more that annoyance grows, gets under his skin, and threatens to become something more than a mere annoyance.

Kanone has ways of dealing with annoyances. Sometimes subtlety is the name of the game.

Sometimes, a warehouse full of fireworks will do just as well.
