The SOS Brigade was about to film the final battle of The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina, but Haruhi suddenly shouted. "CUT!!"

"What's wrong?" Mikuru asked.

"I've just had an idea," Haruhi said, "how to make this scene more exciting, more thrilling, more... dangerous."

Mikuru gulped. "What—"

Haruhi cruelly shushed her. "Let's make it a surprise!"

As Haruhi walked away, a tearful Mikuru turned to Kyon. "If this is my... final scene... will you light a candle in my memory, and think of me from time to time?"

Kyon answered her solemnly and without a trace of irony. "I shall, Mikuru-chan."
