After a long day at school and a long afternoon in the club room, the SOS Brigade was walking part of the way home together. As the sun set, their shadows grew long on the empty street.

"Isn't the sunset beautiful?" Mikuru said distantly. "The colors are so deep, just after sunset, this time of the year."

"*I* think it's strange," Haruhi pronounced. "The city looks like it's on fire, or melting, or something. It's almost like the world is coming to an end."

Kyon, Yuki, Mikuru and Itsuki froze, and sweat-dropped.

"What!?" Haruhi said impatiently. "It isn't that strange!"
