If Seimei bothered, he could diagram social relationships as sets of circles, or nested spheres, where loyalties dim as they widen. Some are set at parallels, some at intersections, and some are quite independent of each other.
Hiromasa should view his relationship with Seimei as something special and out of the ordinary, quite different from his links to the rest of the world. He should do what everyone else does and avoid Seimei, leave him at the furthest point of the circle, at the edge of the world.
It irritates Seimei that Hiromasa will not stay where he is put.
