When Richard first fell down to London Below all he could think of was returning home, to London Above, to sanity. He trudged through the sewers and abandoned streets and forgotten Tube stops behind Door, Hunter, and the Marquis while his thoughts wandered above in waking and dreams, thinking of how nice it would be to wear clean clothes and bathe and live his life again and letting his fantasies play in his mind.

When the Warrior returned to the Underside he walked alongside Door and the Marquis, knowing that this was where he belonged, body, mind, and soul.
