Day/Theme: August 30th / How strange that we, perambulating dust, should be the vessels of eternal fire.

Yamamoto feels sorry for Hinamori Momo.
He knows how it feels to give loyalty and have it betrayed. Seireitai, the Gotei 13, his creation, his children -- no matter what Shunsui and Jyuushirou say, it can never be the same now. Even if they were right and he was wrong.
He knows how it heats the blood to want to save everything you have known and loved.
He will sacrifice her if he needs to -- her, the human girl, others -- and throw them all into the fire for what he must do.
His fingers close on his staff.
