How you must have laughed at me all those times I was gushing over how cool, daring etc. 1412 was. At least Clark Kent is a gentleman.

Dear Aoko,

I'm doing very well, thank you for asking. Just between us, I haven't stolen anything or otherwise broken the law, since I'm too busy basking in the change of scenery. At the end of the month I'm going on a European tour. Wish me luck.

I saw you on TV last night. They were relaying a broadcast of your show in Berlin. Keiichi - that's my son - smiled and clapped all the way through the program. He said nothing about wanting to be a professional magician when he grows up, though. I see I must be thankful for small mercies.

Last night I opened my window and could've sworn I saw Akako flying over the top of the Eiffel Tower. I wouldn't put that past her.
