Words are unclear, battle is clearer- but still not clear enough...Ran and Li would be quick to agree with Seif's sentiments on the matter. Swords didn't lie, but those who wielded them might. And causes were as speckled in honesty and deceit as a pepper shaker's lights and darks.

"Pohscratt wants our heads more than the Knight Hunters do," Li remarked casually, as though someone was after his head every day of the week.

"Jiiru Pohscratt? He's a real warhawk," Ran agreed absently, testing the edge of his blade on a potato. The brown tuber sliced easily in half with one smooth stroke. The thin, blond-haired man sheated his sword and set it aside, content with its condition.

"Sooner or later we'll probably have to confront him,"Li continued grimly.

Ran nodded, now giving his friend his full attention.

"I'm not going to lose to him, Ran. We can't lose to him. We have so much to live for! So we need to watch him well and try to understand him so as to be fully prepared." Li leapt to his feet, put his brown bandanna on his head, and tied it so it hung partially over his eyes, "Grah! I'm Jiiru Pohscratt and I fight like a turtle with claws!"

Ran laughed, "Some crazy general, that's for sure!"

"Are you mocking me, Crusader?!" Li responded, trying to stay in character. "I'm not crazy and if you keep up that nonsense that I am, you soon feel a knife in your back!"

"Fine, fine, General," Ran howled with laughter, "I just can't believe you would stoop to gracing me with your presence!"
