Cho Gonou dreams of Kanan. That's the best place for him. Behind the curtain of green vines that wraps him round and makes him something other than human, bound with triple bindings, he can watch nights away in memories of long hair and happy smiles, eyes full of tears, hands so like his own. Neither of them deserve to be in this world any longer. They have their own, a quiet little house with blood-washed walls where mourning doves sing.
Cho Hakkai doesn't remember what he dreams of. He decides, with a little smile, that it's probably best that way.
