To Hishigi, perfection was attainable; people who stated otherwise either went in the wrong direction or gave up too early simply due to some inopportune incident. Besides, those were very well-behaved children at his lab - cute and obedient, too, as children should be. Occasionally one would waddle toward him when he was jotting down notes or arranging his table, and ask, "How much longer?" "Not long now," he would invariably reply, and the child would return to its friends, not pester him with further questions like ordinary boys and girls were bound to. He thought what happy, content lives they led, and wondered what all the fuss over the outside world was about.
