A first-year high-school student walked up to the closed door of the Literature Club. She tried to open the door, and frowned.

One of her friends walked up. "Is something wrong?" the second girl asked.

"I was thinking of joining the Literature Club," the first girl said, "but the door is locked."

"Didn't you know?" the second girl said. "Haruhi commandeered the Literature Club-room for her own new club."

"Really?" the first girl said. "I wonder what her club does."

As if on cue, they both overheard Haruhi's maniacal laughter and Mikuru's pathetic mewling.

"*I* don't," the second girl said.
