Title: The Only Possible Reaction

Author's notes: WARNING! This is based entirely on TRC V. 16. Chpt 121--ergo there are heavy spoilers in here.
The pieces are easy enough to put together. I was raised in Japan. The son of a miko. The son of the Lord of Suwa. First of the loyal to the Tsukuyomi. Protector of the princess, Tomoyo. So the feelings in this place, the events that are happening in places that I can't see, I know what they mean.
I don't need to see that kid's blue eye to understand.
I ask anyway. He's not that kid, but he's not different either. To protect my version of that kid, I've got to hold back. To protect the princess, I've got to make certain.
This kid talks. He answers. He tells the story that magician's blood has already told. He can talk all he likes and it's not going to change a thing. That magician might be an irritating coward. He might be an annoying son-of-a-bitch. He might be the craziest bastard I know. But he was changing. And he was always a good guy.
So no matter what this kid thinks is going to happen next, I know that there's only one way this is going to end. He's going to give me back Fai. Right now.
"Hand him over."
