Title: sure we won't stumble
Day/Theme: july 19 | to stand on the line of hope
Series: Eyeshield 21
Character: Hiruma
Rating: PG (one curse)
Notes: Arrrgh. This is nothing like what I had wanted. (honestly? i wanted something short. something sharp and poignant. but me and that haven't been getting along these days.) Whatever. Kind of my first time writing ES21. 121 words.
It is obvious that Hiruma Youichi will not hesitate to do whatever it takes to succeed, to get what he wants.
It is obvious that using force, or trickery, or blackmail does not make him feel ashamed if it is beneficial to his cause.
He laughs when he hears people say that he's in a dangerous position for tempting fate, because there is no such thing. Wishes are just the dreams of a child who has not yet learned to rely on his own two hands. Hope is what prolongs the torments of men. Life is how you make it.
And other shit cliches like that.
Besides, his team has never needed the Gods to pass them favors, and he bets that if they tried they'd be way off target anyway.
