Rating: PG-13 (mention of offscreen torture)
Philandre regarded the bound and gagged prisoner from behind his hood. There was determination, hate, covering fear on his face -- no one had any illusions about what was happening.
"It's always the innocent that die under the illusions of belief," Eurig said. "Remember that, novice. When leaders speak of fuzzy things, they want you to do something foolish. These spirits, who can say what they really want from their deluded servants?”
Eurig crouched down, placing a hand on the prisoner’s shoulder. “You don’t agree, I’m afraid. That can be changed soon enough – novice, bring me the instruments you sharpened.”
