Keiichi found Skuld hard at work in 'Skuld Labs', surrounded by half-assembled equipment, and entangled in wires and cables, in a Serial Experiments Lain kind of way.

"Now what?" Keiichi asked.

"Megumi started it," Skuld said petulantly. "She's the one who attacked me with uselessness. Let's see how she likes it."

"I don't get it," Keiichi said.

"This is 'Mr. Uselessness Amplifier'!" Skuld said. "Just imagine Megumi surrounded by useless things, like stopped clocks, and rusty eggbeaters, and bowling balls custom-drilled for someone else..."

"You know," Keiichi said, "it'd be simpler if I just took Meg to a flea market."
