[06-26-06] [Avatar: The Last Airbender] Under Unfamiliar Stars

Notes: Set shortly before "The Boy in the Iceberg"
The stars looked different near the Pole. Constellations Zuko remembered passing overhead when he was learning them as a child hung low near the horizon, making a ring around the ocean, while the stars of the southern sky wheeled overhead. They were out of sight from land – soon they’d be approaching the ice. It would be something at least – he was sick of the endless, empty sea, of the sound of the waves against the hull, of the dark, unfamiliar sky. All of it reminded him of how far from home he was, a candle against the sea.
