"Eventually," Alice said some years later, gazing at her reflection, "I will have to meet you personally. And what grand friends we shall be!"
She considered this for a moment.
"Oh, but supposing we are opposites! Then, you mustn't be inclined to make my acquaintance I should think, for I am so very eager to make yours."
She sighed dreamily and her reflection sighed with her.
"How very unfortunate to have conflicting personalities. We might have had such glorious adventures together."
"Perhaps." Her reflected self replied, "But a world with two of us would be very troublesome indeed."
