[May 5] [Alichino] his fable
Title: his fable
Day/Theme: May 5 / what do you think is the moral of the story?
Series: Alichino
Character/Pairing: Tsugiri
Rating: G
Word Count: 130
In the fable, the foolish firefly, meeting its death upon the enticement of fire, was the focus, never the flame itself. Fire was just the dimensionless villain, a bringer of demise that was capable of being nothing more, a metaphor that prettily fitted him. He slewed even the vermin that were too mindless to resist his inexplicable appeal, callously spilled their black blood, and smeared their putrid remains on the earth with unrelenting viciousness.
It was his way of taking it all back. Before, there was only the present. The future loomed like a waiting phantom, fleeing to another street corner after barely a glimpse while, the past was simply naught. Each strike was vindication. Each alichino annihilated was a claim for what he had lost.
This was his story.
