[May 5] [Threads of Fate] Shine
[t]itle: Shine
[r]ating: G
[w]ordcount: 100
[d]ay: May 5 - what do you think is the moral of the story?
[f]andom: Threads of Fate
[p]airing: Rue/Mint.
[s]ummary: There is something about her, something about her, something about her that he cannot explain.
[n]otes: For
farononstarwolf
She shouldn't shine the way she does. That is the one thing that bothers Rue about her. He's come to terms with what passes for her morality. The amazing bluntness, the willingness to use physical force-- these no longer surprise him, no longer upset him.
But that shine, red-gold and white and blue, from top to bottom... Light, shimmering off her. A smile that dazzles. Sometimes. But it's more than light-- Mint shines with something he can't explain or describe.
So he watches her smile and laugh and he ponders. Is this shine her love of living, or something else?
