And he believed for much of his youth, or wanted to, that he was like everyone else in the village, and could not understand their hatred.

It was years before he could begin to comprehend the other life sealed within him, the nature and consequences of it. Still the hurt would dominate his life, spiraling out from within his center and touching, deeply, all those who dared believe in him. It was a real thing, and because of the hardship, it was much truer.

If given the chance, he would one day become a great man.
