Altessa did not believe that there was a secret kingdom hidden in the oceans of the Windmill Kingdom, besides a couple of fish. She had heard fishermen stories about a wonderful essence of light that shone from the waters, and at first she thought it was true. Eyes shining brightly at the thought, Altessa wondered if there were mermaids, since she loved to read about them. Her suspicions were shot down when her mother haughtily proclaimed that the stories of an undersea kingdom were tales by fishermen. "The proles always make up stories,"harrumpted Queen Camellia, batting the air with her fan. "If there was such a place, then it'd already be exposed. The Windmill Kingdom would even say so. I just don't want you to start searching for something that doesn't exist."
On Christmas Eve, Altessa found herself in front of the Coral Tree, celebrating the magic of Christmas with Fine, Rein, Poomo, and the Ocean Kingdom. The Coral Tree glistened from the golden fish, and it was almost as if a candlelight was hidden underwater. Altessa smiled to herself, taking a bite of cake, wondering what her mother would say when she proved her wrong.
