"The Cowherd and the Weaver will find other ways to meet even without magpies to form a bridge with, won't they?" Princess Fragrance insisted, leaning forward and pressing her palms down on her knees. "I mean, a love such as theirs - surely that must be the case."

"I agree. But there are things that even the strongest love can't overcome."

"Isn't saying so the same as not having absolute trust in your own love?"

Huo Qingtong was surprised. "No. Listen, I believe you can do anything - find your own bridge of magpies - for the sake of love, but not everybody can, because for many people love isn't that important."

"Will they be happy then?"

"It takes different priorities to make people happy. That's what I've been telling you."

"Oh. Still, I pity anyone who doesn't take love very seriously."

"You would." Huo Qingtong smiled briefly at her sister. One of us has to be this free, she thought. And it's better her than me.
