[August 4] [Bleach] Endings
Title: Endings
Day/Theme: She left her life on Monday
Series: Bleach
Character/Pairing: Byakuya/Hisana
Rating: G
He found her outside the gates of their estate, standing by the side of the road, her hands rubbing slowly up and down her arms. He said her name and she looked at him, but her eyes were clouded and she didn’t answer, and she didn’t move when he came closer.
It was high summer and it was almost stiflingly hot. A small breeze kicked up behind them as he took her by the wrists and pulled her hands away from her arms, unfolding her and pressing himself against her back.
She went limp almost immediately, letting her head roll on his chest, her hands clutching at his, her small - delicate, fragile, breakable his mind supplied – fingers curling between his sword-callused ones.
“You shouldn’t be outside.”
She nodded against his chest, and said nothing. He carried her back inside, cold with the knowledge that their time was coming to an end.
Hisana was still and quiet as her husband held her, afraid of what she might say, because she would leave so much behind.
