Keiichi, Belldandy and Urd had slept on the beach, while Skuld played nearby.

Belldandy gently roused Keiichi. "Wake up, Keiichi, and look at the lovely sand castle that Skuld has built."

Keiichi yawned. "Whuzzhat?... YIKES!!"

A full-scale life-sized castle stood next to them. Skuld waved from a turret high above them. "Hail the kingdom of Skuldania!" she shouted.

"You should have a wonderful view of the sea, from that height," Belldandy said.

"But you built it too close to the water's edge," Keiichi noted. "It'll wash away when the tide comes in."

"Don't worry!" Skuld held up a thick sheath of blueprints. "I've designed a system of sea-walls and drainage canals--"

Urd stumbled up, still half-asleep. "Why is everyone shouting?" she grumbled. "I'm trying to sleep!"

"Barbarian at the gate!!" Skuld shouted. "Ready the catapults!! Position the cauldrons of boiling oil!! Prepare the taunts in an outrageous French accent!!"

Urd growled, and childishly kicked at a vulnerable part of the castle foundation. Belldandy pulled Keiichi up and away as the castle collapsed, burying both Urd and Skuld in a small mountain of sand.

"You know," Keiichi said, "we should visit the beach less often."

"Mmm," Belldandy said in agreement.
