Keiichi returned to the temple, after a day at college, to find all three goddesses sitting together at the front door. Belldandy and Skuld were holding each other and weeping openly, and Urd was working on a huge bottle of sake.

Keiichi gasped. "What's wrong!?"

Belldandy tearfully explained. "Our Father is trying to reduce the costs of Yggdrasil's IT department. He's laid us all off, and sent our jobs to India."

Keiichi embraced her. "I'm so sorry! But what will you do now?"

Urd laughed a sad laugh, and summoned up an apron and paper hat. "Want fries with that?"
