She had tried to make sure that Miss Edith was well behaved, but perhaps she had spoiled her little one too much. For Miss Edith had certainly been very naughty tonight, watching while she did things with her Spike that were not meant to be seen by good little girls, and then distracting her with whispers… Whispers that ruined all her plans and displeased her Spike; now she would have to think of something else for them to do later.
At the moment, however, she needed to punish Miss Edith, and she knew just what would make her little one behave. Smiling Drusilla tied some pieces of cloth around the doll’s eyes and mouth. Now Miss Edith would behave or else they would no longer be able to have tea parties together.
