Quatre sets down the powder brush.
“Do you really think this is a good idea?”
The dressing room quiets.
Duo looks at him; as he turns his head, rouge smears across his nose. Quatre gathers himself to say so, but the misplaced pin in his skirt lining is continually distracting. This, combined with the discomfort of a cheap wig, prevents him from focusing his thoughts on much else.
“What makes you think it isn’t?” Duo implores concernedly. His eyes are wide and slightly watery, though this might be the mascara.
Heero glares darkly from the corner vanity.
“It’s nothing.” Quatre murmurs. He sheepishly returns to applying his makeup. So much for that.
